Scalp Microneedling with Kiara Exosomes

Microneedling of the scalp is a regenerative therapy that utilizes stem cell exosomes to stimulate hair follicles and trigger new hair growth.

Hair Restoration Experts in Denver

Our cutting-edge hair restoration therapy involves injecting the exosomes into the affected areas of the scalp to help stimulate hair regrowth.

Why do we believe that the best hair restoration treatment combines Kiara Exosomes and Microneedling?

Combining Kiara exosomes with microneedling creates a powerful one-two punch for hair restoration: microneedling’s tiny, controlled microchannels wake up sluggish follicles and trigger your body’s natural repair response, while Kiara’s exosome-rich conditioned medium floods the scalp with regenerative growth factors, peptides, and signaling molecules right where they’re needed most. Instead of sitting on top of the skin like a typical serum, Kiara is pulled deep into the scalp through those channels, helping support follicle health, improve scalp environment, and boost the quality and density of new growth far beyond what either treatment can do alone.

Because Kiara is derived from cutting-edge exosome technology manufactured by Kimera, it offers a highly concentrated, cell-free way to deliver “younger” repair signals without surgery or downtime—making it an ideal upgrade to traditional microneedling or PRP hair procedures. Patients love that this combo is minimally invasive yet technologically advanced: a series of in-office sessions can fit into a busy schedule, while each treatment works at the cellular level to support thicker-looking, stronger hair over time.

What are Exosomes and How Do They Restore Hair?

Exosomes are extracellular messengers that are responsible for cell to cell communication and for facilitating the exchange of important protein between cells.

Stem Cells

Stem cells produce extracellular messengers called exosomes.

Exosomes

Exosomes travel through the bloodstream carrying proteins across barrier that are inaccessible to most cells..

Skin Cells Communication

Once cellular communication is improved, hair follicles can be stimulated to trigger new hair growth.

Frequently asked questions

How long do exosomes take to work?

Exosomes will cause natural hair growth in as little as two to three months, continuing throughout the year. The most noticeable results will be fully apparent after about six months

What are Kiara Exosomes?

Kiara exosomes are a next-generation, placental mesenchymal stem cell–derived exosome and extracellular vesicle (EV) skincare solution developed by Kimera Labs. In practical terms, “Kiara” is a highly refined conditioned medium packed with exosomes/EVs, growth factors, proteins, peptides, and amino acids sourced from a single-donor, pre-COVID placental MSC line, created through a patent-pending process to deliver concentrated, biologically active regenerative signals for cosmetic and aesthetic use.

Why do you believe Kimera makes the most effective exosomes?

Kimera focuses on doing exosomes “right” from the ground up: they’re a dedicated exosome biotechnology lab that’s been specializing in perinatal/placental MSC-derived exosomes since 2012, not a tissue bank repackaging byproducts. Their products come from a single-donor placental MSC master cell line grown in chemically defined, serum-free media, which gives far more control and consistency than processing mixed donor tissues like bone marrow or whole placenta.  They then apply multi-modality characterization—ELISA, HPLC, RNA-seq, NanoSight NTA, electron and atomic force microscopy, plus super-resolution dSTORM imaging—to verify that what’s in the vial are true MSC exosomes with the right markers, not just random nanoparticles.  On top of that, Kimera introduced the Ross Unit (Ru) to quantify exosome potency based on RNA and protein cargo (not just particle counts), adding a rare level of standardization and quality control in this space.  Coupled with cGMP-aligned production, FDA-cleared early-phase clinical research, and multiple peer-reviewed investigations using their MSC exosomes, this depth of science and control is why we view Kimera’s Kiara platform as one of the most technically advanced and effective exosome options available for aesthetic and research

What is the recommended treatment protocol?

We recommend an initial series of 3 treatments, about one month apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6 months.

What is the treatment like?

Every patient’s experience is different; however, you can expect little to no discomfort during and after your procedure.  You may experience some tenderness to the touch immediately following your exosome’s treatment.

The isolated and purified exosomes in both products have been accepted by the PCPC, and International Cosmetic Ingredient Nomenclature Committee (INC), and the name ‘Human Adipose Stromal Cell Exosomes’ was given and published in the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook, known as INCI book. There are at this time no other cosmetic INCI name(s) assigned to exosome products in the market prior to this accomplishment. These products are not drug products. They are not intended to prevent, treat or cure diseases or medical conditions. They are not intended to be injected or delivered intravenously.
